North Monastery To Be Awarded It's First Green Flag
LCA and TY students at North Monastery School have just received some great news from An Taisce. North Monastery Secondary School is about to be awarded its first Green Flag (Litter and Waste).
Students in these Year Groups form part of North Monastery’s Green Schools Committee and they are working tirelessly to promote environmental awareness about the hazards of litter and the need to reduce waste.
Some responsibilities of the Green Schools Committee include: promoting awareness about the significance of flying a Green Flag at North Monastery, providing more bins in the corridors and in the yards and carrying out regular surveys of the yards and corridors to monitor progress.
Well done to all members of the Green Schools Committee on their achievements.
